An mrsa infection can be diagnosed only after a bacterial DNA test or a bacterial culture test is performed on the persons suspected to have mrsa infection. Some of the common symptoms that can be observed by anybody who might be affected with MRSA are: lumps that look similar to pimple, bumps and blisters that appear on the skin. The lumps are often not the common lumps that appear; these lumps are reddened and are swollen. There might be yellow or white colored pus that might be at the center of the lump and this pus mostly gets discarded on its own. Sometimes boils also called as furuncles appear on the screen which is a type of mrsa infection and if these boils keep growing they are called as carbuncle. MRSA can cause infection of hair follicle which is referred as folliculitis and this is characterized by a reddening of the skin near the infected area. Impetigo is a type of infection that mostly appears on the face like a blister or a bump which is red or yellow in color and it can also spread to all parts of the body. Some of the symptoms which can be noticed in persons where the level of infection of MRSA is severe are shortness of breath, chills, rashes, nausea, muscle aches, weakness, fever and acute pain.
